Vision Workshop was a success!
Vision Workshop Overview:
The Jamestown Vision Workshop ran from 7:00 -
9:00 pm on Thursday September 27. It was an
opportunity for the design team to further understand
the critical issues effecting the Village.

The workshop conversations helped lay the design
framework for the upcoming Charrette.  Residents
were ready to tell us what has to be achieved as the
village evolves over the next twenty years.
The Vision Workshop engaged
Jamestown residents in a collective conversation:
  • Built on the Jamestown Vision survey results
to date. Please take the survey if you have not
already. Click here: Take our Survey
  • Helped envision the future of Narragansett
Avenue and the Village Center in terms of the
built environment, public realm, and character
    of the place.
  • Identified issues and concerns regarding the
    development of the village.
  • Determined the questions that will guide the
Design Charrette, October 15 to 19.
  • Posters and pictures will be online by Monday
10/1/07; summary will be up by 10/3/07.

Thank you for such a great evening!
We would like to thank the nearly 100 Jamestown
residents for attending the Vision Workshop on
Thursday, September 27 . It was an exciting evening
with many great ideas and discussions about the
future of the Village. Please remember, it is the
collective will of the citizens of Jamestown that will
shape it's future. The conversation at and results of
the Vision Workshop are both testimonies of the
citizen will in action.

Please check the
documents page  October 3, 2007 at
the end of the day for the summary document. If you
haven't already, please let us know if you plan to
attend the Design Charrette (
RSVP) and tell your
friends about the Jamestown Vision planning project
as well.  And be a
Jamestown Connector.
